This Privacy Notice outlines how KLCC Parking Management Sdn Bhd (259094- U) (“KPM”) collects, uses, maintains, and discloses your personal data in respect of how KPM safeguards the personal data in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Act 709).
CUSTOMER’S CONSENT IS IMPORTANT
Upon entrance or subscription to KPM’s parking facilities, customer may be required to provide personal data for verification and record purposes as per this Privacy Notice. Failure to supply such Personal Data may among others affect your dealing with KPM or affect the ability of KPM from perform its obligations efficiently under any potential or existing dealing or your ability to enjoy the benefits of your dealing with us.
NATURE OF “PERSONAL DATA”
Personal Data refers to any information that relates directly or indirectly to an individual, who is identifiable from that information or any other information in the possession of KPM. The types of Personal Data that KPM will require in order to process your request includes copies of identity documents containing information concerning age, gender, racial or ethnic origin, address, contact details, photograph, means of payment method to KPM’s parking facilities and your car record transaction’s history. Do take notice that you are at all time recorded on closed-circuit television (CCTV) whilst in KPM’s premises.
The Personal Data we collect can be either obligatory or voluntary. Obligatory Personal Data are those that we require to provide you with our services. If you do not provide us with obligatory Personal Data, we would not be able to provide you with our services. Voluntary Personal Data are those that are not mandatory for us to provide you with our services. If you do not provide us with voluntary personal data, you can still sign up for our services. Obligatory and voluntary personal data differ for each product and services.
ACQUISITION OF “PERSONAL DATA”
Customer are required to provide the Personal Data with below situations:
1.Subscription with KPM facilities i.e., Application for Season Parking, Refund Management
2.Lost parking ticket or any means of payments i.e., VISA, MASTERCARD, Touch N’ Go, SETEL etc.
3.Activities within KPM premises i.e., Vehicle Towing etc
DISCLOSURE OF “PERSONAL DATA”
Personal Data will be treated as private and confidential. Nevertheless, for the purpose of providing effective parking solutions toward customer centricity and compliance with any legal and regulatory requirement, KPM may disclose the personal data to the following parties:
1.KLCC Group of Companies.
2.Registered and authorized consultants of KLCC Parking Management.
3.Parties authorized by you.
4.Enforcement regulatory and governmental agencies as permitted or required by law, authorized by any order of court or to meet obligations to regulatory authorities.
Disclosure of your Personal Data may involve the transfer of your data to places outside of Malaysia, and by providing us your Personal Data you agree to such a transfer where it is required to provide you the services you have requested, and for the performance of any contractual obligations you have with KPM including for storage purposes.
Disclosure of sensitive Personal Data will not be undertaken unless your explicit consent is obtained prior to the disclosure. In any circumstances KPM are require disclosing any of customer Personal Data to stipulated parties above, all appropriate safeguards will be imposed.
PROTECTION OF “PERSONAL DATA”
KPM shall endeavour to implement the appropriate administrative and security safeguards and procedures in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations to prevent the unauthorized or unlawful processing of your Personal Data and the accidental loss or destruction of, or damage to, your Personal Data.
RETENTION OF “PERSONAL DATA”
KPM will maintain customer’s Personal Data for seven (7) years to fulfil the purpose(s) for which it was collected or to comply with legal, regulatory, and internal requirements. Afterwards, KPM will destruct or permanently delete the personal data.
ACCESSIBLITY AND INTEGRITY OF “PERSONAL DATA”
KPM are committed to ensure all the collected customer’s Personal Data is accurate, complete, not misleading and up to date. Customer can request the access for own self Personal Data through email writing on any misleading, inaccuracy, incomplete or not up-to-date Personal Data.
Please note that the respond time will be depending on the requested Personal Data i.e. estimated within 3 working days. Do take notice that we may impose processing fee for such services.
As an additional safeguard for KPM, we may need to verify your identification before fulfilling the request for access to your Personal Data.

GENERAL NOTICE
This Personal Data and Privacy Notice is provided in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. In case of any inconsistencies between these two, the English version shall prevail.
This Privacy Notice version 2.0 is updated as of 1 August 2023 and shall supersede the version dated 10 February 2014. This Privacy Notice is subjected to change from time to time. We will notify you should there be material change(s) to this notice. If there are material changes to this Privacy Notice, we will notify you by posting a notice of such changes on our website. Do periodically review our website to stay informed on the Privacy Notice to know how we are protecting your information.
By signing this document, you deemed to have accepted and fully understood the terms and conditions of this Privacy Notice. You hereby consent for KPM to process your Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Notice.
